The digital asset market experienced a turbulent session on Thursday, characterized by massive liquidations and a general retreat from major exchange traded funds. While Bitcoin and Ethereum struggled to maintain investor confidence, XRP emerged as the sole outlier, marking the only crypto ETF group to see net inflows during the trading day. According to data from SoSoValue, U.S. spot XRP funds drew approximately 8 million dollars, almost all of which flowed directly into Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ fund.

This positive momentum for XRP stood in stark contrast to the bleeding seen across other heavy hitters. Bitcoin ETFs suffered a significant blow, losing about 244 million dollars following an even steeper decline on Wednesday. This pushed total two day withdrawals for Bitcoin funds to nearly 729 million dollars. Similarly, Ether and Solana funds faced outflows of 73 million and 3 million dollars respectively, reflecting a broader hesitation among institutional players amidst heightened volatility.

The struggle extended further into smaller niche funds, with the lone U.S. spot ZEC ETF recording another loss of 19 million dollars. This marks its fifth withdrawal in just six trading days this month, effectively erasing a third of the capital it had gained since its debut. These exits coincided with a chaotic period where over 1 billion dollars in leveraged crypto bets were wiped out, causing Bitcoin to dip toward 80 thousand dollars before rebounding slightly toward the 82 thousand dollar mark following geopolitical comments from President Trump regarding Iran.

Despite these headwinds for the wider market, the resilience of XRP suggests a shifting appetite among some investors who are diversifying away from the primary assets. With cumulative inflows reaching roughly 1.81 billion dollars since launch, XRP ETFs have now surpassed Solana ETFs in total attracted capital. As Bitcoin fights to reclaim critical resistance levels near its May highs, the divergence between XRP and its peers highlights a fragmented sentiment currently gripping the cryptocurrency investment landscape.
