A coordinated strike by Turkish intelligence and police forces has brought an end to the flight of Richard James Schueler, a notorious figure in the cryptocurrency world better known as Richard Heart. On Wednesday morning, agents from the National Intelligence Organization and specialized financial crime units swooped into the upscale Beşiktaş district of Istanbul to apprehend Schueler and his wife. The operation followed weeks of intense technical and physical surveillance designed to pin down the man who had become a primary target for Interpol.

Schueler was operating under a Red Notice, having been sought globally for allegations involving massive crypto fraud and tax evasion. His legal troubles reached a fever pitch when the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission accused him of orchestrating unregistered offerings through entities like Hex and PulseChain, which allegedly bilked investors out of over one billion dollars. Perhaps most brazenly, federal regulators claimed he diverted millions of those funds toward an extravagant lifestyle, purchasing luxury vehicles, expensive watches, and the legendary Enigma black diamond, touted as the largest of its kind in existence.

When authorities finally breached his residence in Istanbul, they discovered more than just a fugitive hiding in plain sight. Officers seized a trove of evidence reflecting both wealth and volatility, including multiple laptops, graphics cards used for mining, various currencies in cash, and gold jewelry. More concerning were the findings of weaponry, as police recovered rifles and pistols alongside drones during the search. Both Schueler and his wife remain in custody as Turkish officials coordinate with international agencies regarding his extradition and further prosecution for his alleged global financial crimes.
