Canada’s economy stalled in November as a decline in goods production offset expansions in services, Statistics Canada said Friday.

Real gross domestic product (GDP)

was unchanged in November following a 0.3 per cent decline in October.

The agency said 10 out of 20 industrial sectors grew in November.

Contractions in the manufacturing and agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting sectors caused goods-producing industries to fall 0.3 per cent in November, the third decline in four months.

The manufacturing sector fell 1.3 per cent, driven by declines in both durable-goods and non-durable-goods.

Statistics Canada’s advance estimate for December 2025 indicates that real GDP increased 0.1 per cent.
